The CPU, or Central Processing Unit, is responsible for executing instructions and performing calculations. It has a major influence on the general performance of the computer.

Important characteristics include the number of cores, clock speed, generation and power consumption. Different CPUs are designed for different types of users.

For example, a basic computer for studying does not need the same CPU as a high-performance gaming or video-editing computer.

Advice: Choose a CPU according to the tasks you will perform and check that its socket is compatible with the motherboard
